Shades Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They managed a 48-44 victory over Pell City.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove entered their tilt with Fairfield on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Tigers to the tune of 56-27. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Pleasant Grove is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Shades Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
