Softball Recap: Harts Bluff Bulldogs vs. Maud Cardinals
After flying high against Bloomburg last Wednesday, Harts Bluff came back down to earth. The Harts Bluff Bulldogs wound up on the wrong side of a tough 20-10 walloping at the hands of the Maud Cardinals on Friday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Leah Mackenzie was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lanyce Fulmore, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Even though they lost, Harts Bluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
