Recap: Carver A&T Wildcats vs. Patapsco Patriots
The Carver A&T Wildcats can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over Patapsco. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Carver A&T has posted against Patapsco since December 14, 2016.
Carver A&T found their leader in underclassman Elisah Guity, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guity has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Brandon, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Patapsco had strong showings from Kayla Gross, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Aaliyah Sanders, who scored two points along with two steals. Gross has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Even though they lost, Patapsco smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Carver A&T's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Patapsco, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Carver A&T will take on Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Patapsco, they will head out on the road to take on New Town at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. New Town is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.1 points per game.
