Football Recap: Jazz Coleman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ben Davis over Avon

Ben Davis and Avon squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ben Davis had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 23-21. The Giants haven't had much luck with the Orioles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Giants players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazz Coleman, who rushed for 81 yards and one score on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Vion Davis, who picked up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Andre Warfield produced another solid effort rushing for 147 yards and one TD for Avon. MacKaven Tislow did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 97 receiving yards.

Ben Davis' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Avon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Ben Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Avon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 53-29 defeat against Brownsburg on the 7th.
