Volleyball Recap: Detroit Lakes Comes Up Short

Detroit Lakes managed to slip by Hawley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lakers lost 3-0 to the Nuggets on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lakers have suffered against the Nuggets since October 15, 2015.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-18.

Talyn Anderson paced Detroit Lakes' offense, picking up 11 kills. Anderson got some help from Ella Ramsey and her 21 assists.

Detroit Lakes dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Hawley, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-1.

Coming up, Detroit Lakes will welcome Sartell-St. Stephen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawley, they will head out to challenge Staples-Motley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
