Basketball Recap: Station Camp Comes Up Short

Station Camp entered their match against Lord Botetourt on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Station Camp Bison were dealt a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 141st in Tennessee, while the Cavaliers are ranked third in Virginia).

Station Camp's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Lord Botetourt, their victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Station Camp will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Lord Botetourt and Abingdon will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. One thing working in Abingdon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
