Baseball Recap: Bloomingdale Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bloomingdale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Durant Cougars as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Bulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

James Osting made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, Isaiah Perez was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. Mason Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Bloomingdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durant only posted a batting average of .238.

Bloomingdale's record now sits at 10-2. As for Durant, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Bloomingdale has already played their next game, a 10-1 win against Newsome on the 16th. As for Durant, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-6 victory against Lennard on the 16th.
