Recap: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors vs. Therrell Panthers
This season hasn't been kind to the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors, who are still winless after their 12th game. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 54-30 walloping at the hands of Therrell on Saturday. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.
Therrell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daiyona Stowers out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 rebounds and 16 blocks. That's the first time this season that Stowers posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Azil Hazzard, who scored 25 points.
KIPP Atlanta Collegiate dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Therrell, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-8.
