Basketball Recap: Masterman Takes a Loss

Masterman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 49-29 to the Belmont Charter Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Masterman of the 48-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Belmont Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Willie Williams, who posted 12 points. Zymir Dessus was another key player, putting up ten points.

Masterman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Belmont Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Masterman will square off against Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Philadelphia Academy Charter's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Belmont Charter, they will challenge Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Belmont Charter will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
