Softball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Takes a Loss

R.J. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Davidson Wildcats, falling 16-0. That's two games in a row now that the Demons have lost by exactly 16 runs.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for South Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

R.J. Reynolds will face off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for South Davidson, they will square off against Thomasville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.06 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
