The East Bernard Brahmas won the last time they faced the Danbury Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. East Bernard came out on top against Danbury by a score of 59-46. Given East Bernard's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 764th, while Danbury is ranked 1623rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
East Bernard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Guthman, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Crist, who scored 14 points.
East Bernard has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Danbury, they bumped their record down to 3-20 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home.
East Bernard will take on Hempstead at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hempstead focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
