Football Recap: Redlands East Valley Skates Past San Gorgonio with Ease

Redlands East Valley's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the San Gorgonio Spartans 34-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Charlotte Cox, who rushed for 92 yards, and also threw for 130 yards while completing 80% of her passes. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in October of 2024. Kiorah Lui made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Redlands East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ainsley Andrews, Cameron Towns, and Lui picked up one apiece. Lui got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Redlands East Valley pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.6 points on average this season. As for San Gorgonio, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Redlands East Valley has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Beaumont on the 9th. As for San Gorgonio, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 32-0 victory against Rialto on the 11th.
