Meanwhile, Terre Haute South Vigo greeted the New Year with with a 54-36 victory over Greencastle.

Terre Haute South Vigo's win came from a few key players Bloomfield will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Samarra Newburn, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 17 points and eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Cassell, who posted nine points and three steals.

Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
