Basketball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Westside Wolves and fell 64-33. The Texans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-9.

It was another big night for Paron Locke, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards for Westside. The dominant performance also gave Locke a new career-high in field goal percentage (90%). Toren Lee-Rose was another key player, putting up ten points and three blocks.

Lamar has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-38 loss against Wisdom on the 18th. As for Westside, they have also already played their next game, a 65-37 victory against Bellaire on the 18th.
