Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Alameda Hornets

The Windsor Jaguars will challenge the Alameda Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alameda took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Windsor, who comes in off a win.

Windsor proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Justin-Siena, sneaking past 7-6.

AJ Rakowski tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Brandon Curry was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Alameda lost 13-7 to Maria Carrillo on Friday. The loss was the Hornets' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Alameda fell to 2-1. As for Windsor, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Windsor took their win against Alameda in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 9-1. Will Windsor repeat their success, or does Alameda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
