Basketball Recap: Pathways Piles Up the Points Against Hope Academy

Pathways lost to Hope Academy back in November of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Pathways Eagles really took it to the Hope Academy Trojan Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-44 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 29 points or more this season.

Pathways' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Prabjot Singh, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarik Fadel Mula, who had 19 points.

Several Trojan Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dwayne Foreman III, who earned 11 points and seven steals. Foreman III is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Willie Griggs, who scored nine points and seven boards.

Pathways has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Hope Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Pathways will challenge Specially Fit Academy Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hope Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Leesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hope Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.1 points per game this season.
