Recap: Beech Buccaneers vs. Mount Juliet Golden Bears

The Beech Buccaneers entered their tilt with the Mount Juliet Golden Bears with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Beech walked away with a 53-40 win over Mount Juliet on Wednesday. Given Beech's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Mount Juliet is ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bailey Ford was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with four steals and two blocks. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Sisk, who scored six points along with six steals.

Beech pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Mount Juliet, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Beech and Mount Juliet will both be playing Green Hill the next time they take the court. Beech will host Green Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Mount Juliet will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
