Basketball Recap: Marine Military Academy Has No Trouble Against South Texas Christian Academy

On Tuesday, the Marine Military Academy Leathernecks made easy work of the South Texas Christian Academy Panthers and carried off a 65-39 victory.

South Texas Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabriel Armenta, who posted 15 points along with six boards and three steals, and Diego Escobedo, who put up nine points. The matchup was Armenta's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Tamayo, who had eight points.

The win got Marine Military Academy back to even at 1-1. As for South Texas Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Marine Military Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they will welcome Macedonian Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
