Geneseo had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sterling Golden Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on September 4th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Geneseo got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-11, 17-25, 27-25.

Geneseo's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Sterling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Geneseo is set to take on their familiar foe Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sterling will challenge rival Moline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
