Volleyball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boyd-Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Fighting Irish when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Boyd-Buchanan was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Notre Dame's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.

Notre Dame's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aniyah Brown, who had seven digs, six kills, two blocks, and two aces. That's the most aces Brown has posted over her last three matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Karley Nutz, who had nine digs and three aces.

Boyd-Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14.

As of now, neither Boyd-Buchanan nor the Fighting Irish have any future games scheduled.
