Volleyball Game Preview: West Campus Warriors vs. Armijo Royals

The West Campus Warriors will face off against the Armijo Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. West Campus will be strutting in after a victory while Armijo will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, West Campus made easy work of Valley and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

West Campus never let Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Armijo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Florin, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Royals were not able to get on the board.

While Armijo ultimately came up short, they really made Florin work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 26-24.

West Campus' win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Armijo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

West Campus skirted past Armijo 3-2 in their previous meeting on March 5th. Will West Campus repeat their success, or does Armijo has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
