Volleyball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Victorious

Weyauwega-Fremont won the last time they faced Menominee Nation and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warhawks put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Weyauwega-Fremont not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Menominee Nation between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.

McKenna Ferg paced Weyauwega-Fremont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ferg got some help from Mariah Baehnman and her 23 assists. Ferg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Weyauwega-Fremont's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Menominee Nation, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Weyauwega-Fremont will face off against Valley Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Menominee Nation, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manawa at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
