Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. Norland Vikings

The Atlantic Eagles will challenge the Norland Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Atlantic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.

Atlantic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Dr. Joaquin Garcia with a sharp 67-46 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 313th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atlantic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Watson, who posted 25 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points Watson has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Peterson Francois, who earned 18 points.

Meanwhile, Norland suffered their closest loss since December 6, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of American by a score of 47-44.

Atlantic will need to focus on slowing down Nyheim Roberts, one of several Norland players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points and six rebounds. Roberts continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Omari Meda was another key player, putting up seven points and 14 boards.

Atlantic is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Norland, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
