John Bapst Memorial dropped their record down to 4-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Ellsworth Eagles, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Ellsworth, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

For Ellsworth's part, the team relied heavily on Jasmine Emerton, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those runs marked the first that Emerton has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Damon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, John Bapst Memorial will head out to square off against Mount Desert Island at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellsworth, they will welcome Bangor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
