Basketball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ansley/Litchfield had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past South Loup with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 34-18. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 37-35 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Ansley/Litchfield to victory were Kiera Bailey and Kerry M Ryan. Bailey posted eight points in addition to nine steals and five boards, while M Ryan went 7 of 14 on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave M Ryan a new career-high in points.

Ansley/Litchfield's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for South Loup, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Ansley/Litchfield has already played their next matchup, a 50-40 loss against Overton on the 24th. As for South Loup, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mullen on February 7th.
