Volleyball Recap: Culver City Centaurs vs. South Pasadena Tigers
After flying high against Wiseburn- Da Vinci on Monday, Culver City came back down to earth. The Centaurs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Pasadena Tigers on Tuesday. The Centaurs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-27, 25-21.
Ella Garner had an outrageously good game for South Pasadena as she had 22 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Garner has posted since back in August. Stella Sheng also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
Culver City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for South Pasadena, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Culver City and South Pasadena will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Centaurs are set to take on their familiar foe Santa Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South Pasadena will face off against rival Blair at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
