Soccer Recap: Cosby Takes a Loss

Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, Cosby can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Gatlinburg-Pittman are ranked 73rd).

Cosby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they moved to 4-4-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cosby will venture away from home to square off against Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cosby are facing Oliver Springs at the right time seeing as Oliver Springs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they will face off against Chuckey-Doak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
