Baseball Recap: De Pere Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

De Pere won the last time they faced Sheboygan North and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redbirds were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Golden Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Redbirds, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mason Sequin was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

De Pere always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheboygan North only posted an OBP of .273.

De Pere pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sheboygan North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
