Basketball Recap: Conneaut Takes a Loss

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They came up short against the Grand Valley Mustangs, falling 71-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-49 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Conneaut still got an impressive performance from Noah Hamm, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Davonte Harris, who put up eight points.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Grand Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Looking ahead, Conneaut will challenge St. John at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. John will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Conneaut surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grand Valley, they will face off against Jefferson Area at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grand Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
