Softball Game Preview: Maine Central Institute Huskies vs. Central Red Devils

The Maine Central Institute Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Central Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Maine Central Institute came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against St. Dominic, falling 13-3.

Maine Central Institute saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Churchill, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Emily Lawrence also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Washington Academy by a score of 7-6.

Maine Central Institute has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
