Lone Oak had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 17-11 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Commerce Tigers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since February 28th.

As for Commerce, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16-1. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Lone Oak: they've now lost nine in a row.

For Commerce's part, Charley Lytle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Commerce saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamdyn Mills, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Lone Oak will take on Ford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
