Basketball Game Preview: Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes vs. Thompsonville

The Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on Thompsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Zeigler-Royalton is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Vienna on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Zeigler-Royalton had to suffer through a 77-28 loss at the hands of Vienna. The Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Thompsonville came up short against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on Tuesday and fell 54-42.

Thompsonville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Zeigler-Royalton came up short against Thompsonville when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 58-47. Can Zeigler-Royalton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
