Basketball Game Preview: Madison Bulldogs vs. Mountain Valley Falcons

The Madison Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Mountain Valley Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Madison will be strutting in after a win while Mountain Valley will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Madison didn't have too much trouble with Monmouth Academy as they won 47-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Mountain Valley duked it out withLincoln Academy on Saturday. Mountain Valley fell to Lincoln Academy 45-39. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Madison has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Mountain Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Madison strolled past Mountain Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
