Volleyball Recap: Lincolnton Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Gaston, Lincolnton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-1. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Akira Connor had a dynamite game, getting 33 digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Clara Parlier also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

The victory got Lincolnton back to even at 6-6. As for Bessemer City, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lincolnton will face off against rival Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bessemer City is set to square off against their familiar foe West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
