Basketball Preview: Sports Leadership & Management Bulls vs. Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons
Sports Leadership & Management has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sports Leadership & Management focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
Sports Leadership & Management scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They blew past Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon 95-63 at home. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Noah Tomlin, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Oscar Valenciano was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine steals.
Meanwhile, Doral Academy Red Rock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. They suffered a rough 69-45 loss at the hands of Pahrump Valley.
Sports Leadership & Management's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Sports Leadership & Management against the Dragons in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 80-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sports Leadership & Management since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
