Basketball Recap: Fromberg Has No Trouble Against Reed Point/Rapelje

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bridger/Belfry, Fromberg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their 24-point performance the contest before.

Despite the loss, Reed Point/Rapelje saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landen Bryant went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 36.4% of Reed Point/Rapelje's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Marshall Ulmer, who earned nine points and five boards.

Fromberg's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fromberg will head out to square off against Forsyth at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Custer/Hysham at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Reed Point/Rapelje is facing Custer/Hysham at the right time seeing as Custer/Hysham is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
