Baseball Game Preview: Trinitas Christian vs. Pensacola Tigers

Trinitas Christian are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Pensacola Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Trinitas Christian can't be to happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home two weeks ago. They lost 16-2 to West Florida Baptist Academy.

Trinitas Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Jones, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pensacola took on L.E.A.D. Academy on Monday. Pensacola was the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over L.E.A.D. Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Rupert Sproles was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Cameron Hamilton was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Hamilton is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season. C Jones was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Pensacola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as L.E.A.D. Academy only posted an OBP of .300.
