Master's Academy hasn't had much luck against Geneva recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will challenge the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Master's Academy sitting on three straight wins and Geneva on six.
Master's Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over Orangewood Christian.

Reagan Peri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isa Moya, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Mennenga, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Geneva put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Trinity Christian Academy. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Knights have won 14 matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bella Ortiz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ortiz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Geneva got a massive performance out of Peyton Clark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Emma Bastian was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Master's Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Geneva, their record is now 17-3.
Master's Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Geneva, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Master's Academy continue to outrun the ball?
Master's Academy suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Geneva in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
