Westside lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by the Hector Wildcats 64-32. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hector's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landen Darter led the charge by rushing for 166 yards and five touchdowns. Darter has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Newport, who threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns.
Westside's record now sits at 1-6. As for Hector, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
