Basketball Game Preview: Puget Sound Adventist Sharks vs. Northwest Christian Wolverines

The Puget Sound Adventist Sharks will take on the Northwest Christian Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Puget Sound Adventist is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-42, which was the final score in Puget Sound Adventist's tilt against Muckleshoot Tribal back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Kings are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Northwest Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Quilcene by a score of 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolverines have suffered since January 18, 2024.

Northwest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Puget Sound Adventist, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Puget Sound Adventist was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 45-37. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Northwest Christian's Jack Vahey, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Puget Sound Adventist still be able to contain Vahey? There's only one way to find out.
