Football Recap: Courtney Lawson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Plano East + How To Watch

Rock Hill lost to Plano East back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Blue Hawks took down the Panthers 24-7. Given the Blue Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Panthers are ranked 267th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rock Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Courtney Lawson, who picked up 113 receiving yards and one touchdown. Nate Vincent was another key player, having thrown for 255 yards and onetouchdown.

Rock Hill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Plano East, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Rock Hill and Plano East will both be playing Plano the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th, while the Blue Hawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
