Basketball Recap: Lumberton Comes Up Short

If Lumberton was riding high fresh off their 42-21 takedown of West Orange-Stark last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lumberton Raiders took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vidor Pirates on Friday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Lumberton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Vidor, they pushed their record up to 23-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vidor, they will welcome Silsbee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silsbee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Vidor likes a good challenge.
