Softball Recap: Rockledge's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

It was a good run, but Rockledge unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers by a score of 7-6. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hustlers earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Kaylah Comeau was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Gizelle Arteaga, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Rockledge's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Rockledge will be playing at home against Merritt Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, they will head out to face off against Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
