Brennan had won nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 8-1 to make it ten. They came out on top against the Taft Raiders by a score of 35-28. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Taft, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 512th, while Brennan is ranked 98th).

When it comes to explaining why Taft lost, don't look at Tucker Vogel. Despite the final result, he rushed for 201 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 104 yards and one TD. Isiah Delgado was in the mix too, providing the Raiders with two scores.

Coming up, Brennan will challenge Warren at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.89 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Taft, they will take on O'Connor at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
