Basketball Game Preview: Brandon Valley Lynx vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Brandon Valley Lynx and the Roosevelt Rough Riders will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Brandon Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jefferson, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Roosevelt and O'Gorman, and Roosevelt kept the tradition alive. The Rough Riders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-68 victory over the Knights on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rough Riders have posted against the Knights since March 19, 2022.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Brandon Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Brandon Valley beat Roosevelt 49-38 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Do the Lynx have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rough Riders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
