It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Seven Lakes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Paetow Panthers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Seven Lakes got a great performance from Ryma Chakraborty as she pitched 7.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dulce Franco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sarah Petree, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
Seven Lakes' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Paetow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
