The Colusa RedHawks will head out on the road to challenge the Vacaville Christian Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Colusa comes in on four and Vacaville Christian on ten.
Colusa is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over Willows on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the RedHawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Colusa let Jace MacKaben and Kane Nall run wild. MacKaben went 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs, while Nall went a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. Those eight RBI gave MacKaben a new career-high. Kaleb Castanon also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Colusa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .548. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Vacaville Christian got themselves on the board against Highlands on Thursday, but Highlands never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Scots with a sharp 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Isaac Stanley and Zachary Romeo were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Stanley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Romeo tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stanley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Stanley got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Romeo went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Lindsey, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakari Carnell-Palmerton, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Vacaville Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colusa, their record is now 4-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Colusa has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Vacaville Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Colusa took their victory against Vacaville Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
