Softball Recap: Glenbard South Comes Up Short

If Glenbard South was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Elgin on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Fenton Bison by a score of 14-13 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (11), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Glenbard South's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Fenton, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-15 record.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Glenbard South is set to face off against their familiar foe Riverside-Brookfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fenton will challenge rival South Elgin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
