Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Iowa City West Trojans. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 14-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-31. As for Iowa City West, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Jefferson by a score of 15-1 later that day.
