Georgetown Day has gone a perfect 9-0 against Potomac School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mighty Hoppers will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Georgetown Day is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Georgetown Day got the win against St. Andrew's Episcopal by a conclusive 3-0.

Georgetown Day walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Potomac School's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Collegiate.

While Potomac School ultimately came up short, they really made Collegiate work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 28-26.

Despite the loss, Potomac School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lily Gurney had 23 digs and two aces. Maya Peery also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Georgetown Day's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Potomac School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Georgetown Day skirted past Potomac School 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Mighty Hoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
